Multiple Intelligence





What is Multiple Intelligence?

According to Howard Gardner. a psychological and professor at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education,  "An intelligence is the ability to solve problems or to create products, that are valued within one or more cultural settings. " 

The question is not "How smart am I?'' but rather "How am I smart?"

Features of  Multiple Intelligence

He claims that human beings have multiple intelligences. 

Each individual has 9 intelligences in varying amounts, the intelligences are located in different areas of the brain.

They either work independently or together. 

These Multiple Intelligence can be nurtured and strengthened or ignored and weakened.

We can improve education by addressing these multiple intelligences of our students.

What can I do now that we were not able to do a year ago

 what can I do now that we were not able to do a year ago?

A year ago we were not able to use remote learning techniques (zoom, google classroom). But now I am able to attend lessons in zoom app from my home. Also I can do my assignments and exams at my home by using google doc or google form. And I was able to watch the recorded sessions whenever I wanted instead of having to attend the class, which is allowed me to focus on my career. There are no books for the courses and papers since they are all saved on google classroom or on my desktop, so, I didn't lose any of them. Also, we used a technology apps in our studies.  Now with online classes is easier to me since i can attend my classes if I was at work or not.

  



Challenges you face when learning or teaching online



 What are the challenges faced by teaches in online education?

The way of instruction has changed its online instruction presently in 2021. When instruction to begin with online due to COVID- 19  limitations, everybody accepted it was a transitory alter, be that as it many here we are nearly a year and a half after ward, and schools are still working online. What is an Educational Media and Technology?

Is a course were give by Dr. Amal Farhat, which is an interesting course, since we learn how to use technology and a new helpful applications like google slide, google forms, jam board,  and google classroom. In this course I learn how to build my career as a teacher especially during the online classes to attract students by using these applications. I enjoy during the class since Dr. Amal keeps us busy and active by practicing new things and knowing new apps and we learn how to use it. There is no doubt that is how much this course is enjoyable, but the big role for Dr. Amal since she prepared well and she's a very professional  facilitator, and she give us more experience and having a new skills.


Tools that can be used in online assessment

 There are different types of online assessment. Online assessment is used in different working areas and all of them have their own goal to achieve. The working area that I will  highlight is the educational. Educational assessment is the systematic process of documenting and using empirical data on the knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs. By taking the assessment teachers try to improve students learning. 

Also, assessment can be focused on the individual together, like the whole class, an institution or specific program. 

There are so many tools for evaluating students. Some of these tools are:

1- socrative: is a formative assessment tool that helps teachers and learners to assess understanding and progress in real time in class through the use of quizzes and questions.

2- Google Forms: we can create and analyze surveys right in our mobile or web browser, no special software required. we get instant results as they come in. And we summarize survey results at a glance with charts and graph. lets see this video to know how to create a google form: 




3- Mentimeter:  is an interactive presentation tool that helps to engage students and enables every voice in a classroom or lecture hall to be heard. you can use it to gauge student comprehension, test knowledge retention or as a fun way to break up learning.

4- Poll Everywhere: is an online service that allows teachers to ask their students a question. the students answer question using their mobile phones, or web browser.

all the apps  that I mentioned above have a common goal and very helpful in teaching especially in online classes.   

How to be a Digital Citizen?

 


A good digital citizen protect their personal information, uses a good judgment and treats others with respect. whether you're posting on social media, sending an email or commenting on an online discussion, practicing good digital citizen ship makes our online world a more welcoming place for everyone.

 How does digital  citizenship play a role in the classroom?

Teaching digital citizenship equips students with the knowledge, skills, and resources to succeed as lifetime learners. this also helps them to learn to engage within a digital environment with responsibility and confidence to develop as leaders who will leave meaningful impacts in the livers of others.

Rules of Digital Citizenship:

1- Treat others with respect.

2- Do not steal

3- Shop on secured sites

4- Never give out personal information, including phone numbers, addresses, and "checking" on social media.
